URRATSBAT: Pastry Workshop to Promote Women's Entrepreneurship at the Galdakao Hospitality School
In its commitment to promoting female entrepreneurship, the Galdakao Hospitality School has organized two days dedicated to a special entrepreneurship workshop on December 9 and 16.
The event, led by entrepreneur Marlene López Espinoza, a former student of the Bakery, Pastry, and Confectionery Program and participant in the Ikasenpresa and Urratsbat programs coordinated by Tknika, aims to inspire and guide specialization and second-year pastry students. Through the exciting world of creative pastry-making, Marlene will share her experience and expertise as an innovative pastry entrepreneur.
During the workshop, students will not only learn to create unique masterpieces in creative pastry-making but will also gain valuable practical lessons on how to transform their passion into a successful business. Marlene López Espinoza, as a former Urratsbat participant, is a living example of how the right support can turn business ideas into tangible realities. Additionally, Susana Pérez, the Urratsbat program coordinator, will use the event to explain the mentorship provided by the Galdakao Hospitality School and encourage students to pursue their entrepreneurial dreams.
The Urratsbat program, recognized for its impact on fostering entrepreneurship in vocational education in the Basque Country, continues to serve as a catalyst for the creation of new business initiatives. This workshop is not just about mastering advanced techniques in creative pastry-making but also about learning essential business planning and marketing strategies, key tools for aspiring entrepreneurs.
The Galdakao Hospitality School and the Urratsbat program invite the entire student community to participate in this space for learning, creativity, and entrepreneurial spirit. These two days promise to be an unforgettable experience, blending the art of pastry-making with business acumen to empower women entrepreneurs and shape their future ventures.
This workshop, funded by the EU’s Next Generation funds under the project "C20.I02.P03: Entrepreneurship Classrooms in Vocational Education", is supported by the Ministry of Education, Vocational Training, and the European Union-NextGenerationEU.
