URRATSBAT: Fostering Innovation and Entrepreneurship: Celebrating Entrepreneurship Day in Galdakao

This year, Entrepreneurship Day was successfully celebrated in Galdakao, in collaboration with CIFP Andra Mari, Galdakao Hospitality School, and Behargintza organizations, on January 15th and February 10th. This event was aimed at secondary education students from IES Bengoetxe and IES Elexalde in the municipality, promoting awareness of entrepreneurship and innovation. A total of 160 students participated, exploring ideas that promote circular economy and sustainability.

Ikasenpresa Projects: Innovation from the Classroom

During the event, students from both centers presented their Ikasenpresa projects. From Galdakao Hospitality School, the following projects stood out, all based on the use of local, sustainable products:

  • Samasiku: Ecological cider.
  • Manzuka: Ecological juice.
  • Tradizio&Sazón: Apple-based sweets.
  • Max&Talo: Gluten-free talos.
  • Crêpes Aux Fruits: Crepes with various fillings.

Additionally, students had the chance to taste the products, such as ecological juice and apple desserts, experiencing firsthand the quality and innovation of the presented projects.

On the other hand, students from CIFP Andra Mari also presented their projects, which included:

  • EKOBERRI: Bicycles that charge mobile phones.
  • SPRINT: T-shirts and sweatshirts with screen printing.
  • TRIADA ASESORES: Artificial Intelligence consultancy without internet.

Entrepreneurship in Action: Real Businesses

In addition to the Ikasenpresa projects, real businesses were also presented, which are currently active in the market. These included:

  • SOLAR-GIK: A solar energy project.
  • CAMBIADORES INCLUSIVOS: A company promoting accessible spaces for all.
  • Egun On Desayunos: Galdakao Hospitality School's Urratsbat business, led by Mari Luz Alonso, provided a delicious breakfast, highlighting the importance of female entrepreneurship and local business, and adding a sweet tasting experience to the event.
  • KALA: An initiative promoted by Behargintza.

Gratitude and Conclusion

Students had the opportunity to visit CIFP Andra Mari's facilities, learning more about the processes and products presented there. We would like to thank Behargintza for their efforts in organizing this event, and all the participants who are driving the spirit of entrepreneurship. This event was a great opportunity to promote equal opportunities and innovation, always with a focus on sustainable and inclusive practices.
