Introduction to Mycology: Complementary Activity for Culinary and Gastronomy Students
The students enrolled in the first year of the Vocational Training cycle in Cooking and Gastronomy, as well as those in the Higher Vocational Training cycle in Culinary Management, have participated in a complementary activity called "Introduction to Mycology," led by Alfonso Requero from Peña Santa Cruz de Galdakao.
Through an audiovisual presentation and with the support of Alfonso’s explanations and knowledge, the students explored topics ranging from the parts of a mushroom to the world of fungi, poisoning, the most common types, as well as their treatment from a gastronomic perspective.
To conclude, they were invited to a showcooking event taking place on Thursday, the 7th, at Torrezabal, and to the mushroom exhibition/contest/solidarity pintxos event to be held on Sunday as part of the "Mushroom Days" organized by the municipality of Galdakao.
